Whom do you admire and why? 

This is a tough question for me. I never really thought I admired anyone. I love my family deeply and miss those who have passed on. There is a college professor who supported me and gave me courage, but I don’t think I realized at the time how much that meant to me. Only once have I ever put anyone on a pedestal and that was disastrous in so many ways. As I’ve gotten older though, I am beginning to understand what Is truly admirable in people. Those who have overcome tremendous odds, such as Alex Krutov, and those who have bravely blazed a trail for humanity, such as Gus Grissom and all of the early astronauts, and those who stand up for the truth despite the consequences, such as the Christians in Iraq and similarly hostile countries.
