The Best Teacher

Since today is #TeacherAppreciationDay let me tell you the best one I’ve ever had—it’s called “life.”

Yup, life taught me so much.

I learned that it’s the hard times that brings out the strength I never had.

I learned that disappointments are God’s way to re-direct my steps.

I learned that only those who bring the best in me are worthy to be called “best” friends.

Life taught me that when I plan for the future, I first need to plan my attitude for today.

I learned that when I lament what I lack, self-pity barges in.

Life taught me that when I focus on the good of life, my days become better and I can anticipate the best.

And finally, I learned that often my plans bring on heartache, but only God’s plans bring on happiness.

I thank God for the life He’s given me, the lessons learned, and the meaning revealed.

How about you? Who’s been your best teacher?
