Meditation Musing~Come Home

Seeking:
Father God, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, I hunger and thirst for familiarity with you.

Finding:
My Beloved Child,
Come home. I smooth your path by removing the rocks, grading the gravel, and filling the ruts. I take down gates that block your way to Me. I open trails so that you may experience the good things I have laid out for you along the way.
I give you peace. I fulfil all my promises. I never give up on you. I support you so that you will never give up on Me.
Stay on the path I created for you. Check directional signs and walk at a steady pace. Do not rush and hurry, instead let me give you my rhythm and keep you steady.
I bless the generations coming after you so they will know Me in ways I’ve never been known before.
You are my own people. My arms are open to you and to any friends you want to bring along. I provide light, fresh air, food and water. I have a place of rest for you. I will save them and preserve you forever.

Beloved,

Look what is happening! A great delight has come into your life. Once you lived in a shadowed land. Now you have a light to guide you. You have a right to ask for help. You have the amazing counselor, the one and only God, the loving Father, the Prince of Peace, the host of wholeness living inside of you. Angel armies hover all around taking care of you. You no longer have any need to worry. I have made my home in your life. From here, we go along together, forever.

Meditation Musing~God Advises Me About Prayer

Beloved,

Every time you consider asking what I think, you doubt that I have anything to say so you put off asking. You’re not alone doing this, but if you choose, I will bring you to a place where it is easier for you to ask, seek, and knock, than to put Me off.

Make decisions with your will and the mind of Christ which is in you. Don’t use your ego or your own prior knowledge. The ego seeks but never finds, while prior knowledge is random and full of holes, no matter how smart you are.

I guide you gently in increments and over time as far as daily activities are concerned, but if you can quiet yourself enough to seek me in an emergency, I will give you the answer you need right away. Any time you come to me for wisdom, I will give you an answer without making you feel inferior for asking. That answer will stay with you and help you for the rest of your life. It will help to record it, if you can.

Matthew 7:7-12

“Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.” (The Amplified Bible)

Meditation Musing~God Tells Me to Organize

Dear pal,
You were sitting in church yesterday listening to all the wonderful activities offered and thinking maybe you needed something more at this time of your life.

You and Bill have kept a marriage going for fifty-eight years, you have made a living and kept a home. You have successfully reared two children and been a part of the lives of two grandchildren. You have helped in churches, met new doctors, joined clubs, studied new subjects, and made new friends.

You are people who don’t mind change, but you appreciate it if it is fairly manageable. You like to learn and you enjoy being with others, but more than that, the two of you depend on Me to be your ultimate provision and guide. You depend on me to be the miracle worker, not on yourselves.

Now, I would like for you to spend a bit of time slightly reorganizing your lives. All my people do this periodically. It is the way I have made them. Stay on the path I’ve placed you on but slow to a patient, easy pace. You no longer have to live in a stressful frame of mind. Forget multitasking. Remember, I am always in the small things. I will never leave you or forsake you. I know you don’t get tired of hearing that. That’s why I say it so often. But look neither to the right nor to the left. The plans I have for you are plans for good and not for evil. I will always show you what to do next if you wait for Me.
