We love watching hummingbirds. Each April we eagerly await their arrival at our feeders, always with a tinge of worry that they would choose to feed at other feeders in the area.

We have an all time favorite escape near our home in the North Carolina mountains, Wayah Bald. Its elevation is one mile high and is a haven of cool breezes on warm summer days. During fall the profusion of color spreading through the valley below is magnificent . The rustic wooden fence lines the road perimeter .

I scrolled through my photos but most of pictures we take are landscapes and wildlife. Isn’t it interesting how many people of wealth crave power but God says power lies in the house of the righteous? I guess it depends on how one defines power.
