False Mirrors

Our family is eating Keto and following Cooking Keto with Kristie on Facebook. She has an inspiring story of losing and keeping off 100 pounds. On Valentine’s Day she wrote about loving the person you see in the mirror. She writes she didn’t see herself as others did. Even after moving down 7 pant sizes she still saw her hips as huge.

The parallel to how we view ourselves in a false mirror, one that doesn’t see our past cleansed by the blood of Jesus, is striking. One that doesn’t see how far Christ has brought us from our sin life and how he is growing us in Him.

He is doing a new thing in us that doesn’t involve viewing or comparing ourselves to others! I encourage you to read Kristie’s post on Diet Doctor.
